Working with payment links
We’ve recently updated the way payment links are managed by venue administrators. From now on, payment links are no longer sent automatically, giving you more control over how your customers are supposed to pay for bookings, subscriptions, activities and memberships.
Payment links are a convenient way for both venues and customers to manage payments. Venues don’t have to bother with cash or invoices, and players can pay using popular payment methods through our brand new checkout experience. Still, there are cases where you might be asked to invoice, especially if you are working with company subscriptions. Now you can decide not to send payment links in those cases without disabling payment links altogether, allowing for a more flexible approach to working with customer payments.
When payment link is selected as the preferred payment method the customer will receive instructions on how to pay through the MATCHi app or website in their confirmation email. This option will only show up if your venue has enabled payment links. If you have any questions or want to get started with payment links don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
Please note that these updates only apply to venues that have enabled payment links. If you’re interested in getting started with payment links you can contact our support team who will help you get up and running.
What's next?
We have a lot more of exciting updates planned for payment links. We’re currently working on creating a powerful overview of all payments so that you can keep track of who’s paid and who hasn’t, send reminders and create invoices and send payment links in bulk. If you’re interested in learning more about this we’d be happy to hear your feedback.
