Swish - How it works

  • Updated

Swish is an app-based payment method in Sweden and is a member of the European Mobile Payment Systems Association. The service was launched in 2012 and today has over 8 million users.

Swish appears as a payment method in the checkout when you make a booking at a Swedish facility.
When you pay with Swish, the amount is charged immediately (i.e., the amount is not reserved like with other payment methods, but charged directly).

For refunds, the amount is refunded and appears as a refund on your account (i.e., not that the reservation is released as often happens when you pay with a debit card).

Swish can be used for all purchases such as court bookings, activities, memberships, punch cards and value cards, etc. Regarding split payment, only the co-players can use Swish, not the person who is the main booker. If you want to book with your value card where the full amount is not covered and then pay the remaining value with Swish, that works fine.

Please note the following:

- As a comment on the payment, it also shows MATCHi and the order number so you can easily trace your purchase.

- All players in a booking made with split payment can pay with Swish, except the person making the actual booking. This is because we need to reserve the full booking amount on a saved card, something we cannot yet do via Adyen (our payment provider).
