VAT settings
When your venue is added to MATCHi, a default VAT rate is set based on your main business. This default applies to all bookings, activities, memberships, and other articles unless overridden.
Changing VAT for specific articles
You can set different VAT rates for different article types:
- Go to Administration > The venue.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Scroll down to the VAT settings section.
- Set the VAT percentage for each article type you want to override (e.g. Booking, Activity, Membership).
- Click Save.
How VAT is applied
- The default VAT rate (set by MATCHi when your venue was created) applies to all articles that do not have a specific override.
- You can set VAT from 0% to 25% per article type.
- VAT is calculated on the total price and shown on receipts and invoices.
- Value cards and punch cards have their own VAT settings – see the respective articles for details.
VAT registration
If your venue is registered for VAT, make sure your VAT number is entered under Administration > The venue. This is needed for correct invoicing and reporting.
If you are unsure which VAT rate to use for your sport or articles, check with your local tax authority.
