Adding a new membership type
- Go to Administration > Membership types.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name for the membership (e.g. Senior, Junior, Student).
- Add a description of the membership and its terms.
- Set the price. See Membership type price for pricing details.
- Configure the options:
- Check Purchased online if the membership can be purchased on MATCHi (requires online purchase activation – contact MATCHi).
- Check Applies to organisations if the type is only for company/organisation customers.
- Check Paid on renewal to enable automatic renewal. When the membership expires, a new one is created and charged automatically.
- Check Send payment link to automatically email a payment link on renewal.
- Set validity settings (optional):
- Valid time – duration (e.g. 12 months)
- Yearly start date – fixed annual start (e.g. “1 January”)
- Purchase days in advance – how many days before yearly start date customers can buy online (1–365)
- Grace period for failed renewal – days to allow payment retry
- Click Save.
After creating the type
Once the membership type is created, you can:
- Add memberships of this type to customers.
- Set up special booking prices for members of this type.
- Include this type in requirement profiles.
