Seasons

What is a season?

In MATCHi, the booking schedule is built from seasons. A season defines a date range and the opening hours for each court during that period. By creating and adjusting seasons, you control when courts are available for booking.

There is no single right way to work with seasons, but the most common approach is to have two seasons per year – for example, a spring/summer season and an autumn/winter season.

How seasons work

  • Each season has a start date and an end date.
  • Within those dates, you set opening hours per court per weekday – including booking duration and time between bookings.
  • Seasons cannot overlap. Each date can belong to at most one season.
  • After creating the season framework, you use deviations to make adjustments (different hours on certain dates, closing for holidays, etc.).

Tip: Seasons and subscriptions

If you use the subscription feature, it helps to align your season length with your subscription periods. This makes it easy to copy subscriptions from one season to the next.

Important: Price lists are independent

Remember that price lists are separate from seasons. If you change your times or create a new season, you may need to update your price lists manually to match.
