Create a new season

  • Updated

All facilities have different arrangements for their seasons. Some simply have 1-hour slots on their whole schedule while others want to mix it up.

When you go to create your season, you first build the framework of how you roughly want your booking schedule to look like, start by adding the most commonly occurring setting so that you need the fewest possible deviations afterwards.

If you want to keep it simple with 1-hour slots you don’t have to create any deviations, you just simply create the framework with start - and end times and create your season.

Go through the steps below, or download the full guide in the attachment to the article.

Go to ”Administration” > ”Seasons” and click ”Add”

  1. Choose a name for your season, for example ”Spring/Summer 2023”
  2.  Dates to and from, refer to the dates of which your season will be active.
  3. The description will only be visible to administrators and can for example be used to note who created the season, it is also fine to leave it blank.
  4. Under ”Court hours of operation” you will see two lines for every sport you have on your venue. ”Duration/reservation” refers to how long your bookable slots will be, for example 01:00 = 1 hour, 01:30 = 1,5 hours etc. (If you want different lengths of the bookings at certain times of the day, you need to make a deviation after the season has been created. So choose the most common length of the bookings per day of the week and sport)
  5.  ”Time between bookings" is usually set to 00:00 but can be changed if you want a margin of time between each booking. There will then be a gap between the bookings that cannot be booked.
  6. ”From" refers to when the first bookable time should start for that particular day of the week and sport and "To" is when the last bookable time should end
  7. If you want to change each court separately, you click on the blue text for the sport, for example "Padel (3 courts)". If you click there, you can make unique settings for each court.
When you have filled in the times and settings as desired, click "Save"
  8. Wait a few minutes while the system creates all bookable times, at the top of the page you will now see a blue field if the "Create Season" process is still in progress
  9. Once it's done, you can go to the ”Schedule” view to see if it went as you intended, go to a date that the new season applies to, and feel free to go in and look at different days of the week.
