Hello, how can we help you today?

How to create a new round

  • Updated

New round is created under the menu New round
Go through the menus step by step. See the following text for special instructions if the league game is to be extended.

1. Date
Give the new round a new name, enter the start date, and the last day and time for reporting results. If desired, also indicate how many steps/divisions the times should be shifted/changed each week. With 1 step, division #1 swaps times with division #2 the second week, etc.; with 2 steps, division #1 swaps times with division #3 the second week, etc.

2. Groups
Add any new groups. Change the number of teams per division by changing the game template.

3. Player
Click on Get results, then perform promotion and relegation.
Delete the teams that finish.
Adjust if teams should be moved in addition.
Add new to add new teams.

4. Weeks
Click on Get weeks
Delete any weeks that should not be scheduled.
Individual game days can be moved to the end of the series. First delete that week; then an individual game day can be moved to that week.

5. Preview
Click on Update preview. Wait for all groups to turn green.
Click on each group to see the schedule. Study carefully.

6. Create the round
Here the round is created, but it is not published.

7. Delete times
Delete a game time, for example: you know that team X cannot play on Thursdays. Then under this function you can delete all Thursday slots for team X.

8. Add times
Add a game time for the times you have deleted in step 7. Select the day, time and course.
NOTE: The time must also be added to MATCHi on the customer intended for league play.

9. Add the extra times
Make sure that the date range matches the one booked in MATCHi.
Don't forget to click on Save

10. Activate the round
The round is published here. Players who do not already have a BHS account will automatically receive an email with a link to create an account.
Click out of Mail if you want to send mail in another way.
Suggestions for text that can be sent to the players - see here.

When the round is activated, the times need to be booked in MATCHi (this does not happen automatically). It needs to be the same start time and duration in MATCHi as it is in Backhandsmash. So if it is, for example, a 90 min slot in Backhandsmash at 17.00-18.30, it needs to be exactly the same in MATCHi. If you need to make deviations to change it, you do so by following the link here.
You also need to make sure that the correct customer card is used to book the times. This is usually included in the start-up, but if you are unsure, contact MATCHi's support and we can help double-check. To start making bookings, follow the instructions here.
