We have made improvements to our booking schedule. Each booking, regardless of length, will now be handled as one continuous booking with one booking confirmation to the player. With the new schedule, a booking can consist of more than one slot and for this reason you may want to add time-based restrictions. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to add these.
Maximum number of future bookings
To add time-limited restrictions for upcoming bookings, go to MATCHi Admin and click on Administration > The venue > Settings. See picture below with the added alternatives.
Punch card
Go to MATCHi Admin and click on Administration > Offers > Punch cards. Open an existing punch card and go to Edit where there is an added alternative for Maximum duration of booking (minutes). As default there will be a limitation set to 90 minutes per punch but you can update this value to 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes per punch. See picture below with the added alternative.
Problems paying with a punch card?
If you have a player who purchased a punch card at your venue and have recently had problems using it, it is very possible that this is related to this new feature. Most punch cards allow bookings up to 90 minutes, but extended bookings managed as one usually exceed 90 minutes. Previously, if you booked two consecutive appointments that were, say, 90 minutes long, you could use the punch card to pay for both bookings separately. Since the introduction of this new feature, the bookings are merged and considered as one booking of 180 minutes, and the punch card usually only allows for bookings of up to 90 minutes.
There are two things your player can do to book two consecutive appointments and still pay with the punch card:
- Book only one appointment and pay for it with the punch card. After payment, book the second appointment directly. Then it is considered as two individual bookings.
- Contact you as the venue and ask if you can extend the maximum time from 90 minutes.
