What are venue messages?
Venue messages are announcements displayed as banners on your facility’s public MATCHi page. Use them to inform customers about temporary changes, upcoming events, or other important news. Customers can dismiss a message after reading it.
Note: Venue messages are public announcements, not private emails. To send a private message to a customer, use the customer registry instead.
Creating a venue message
- Go to Administration > Messages.
- Click Add.
- Fill in the message details:
- Headline – a short title for the announcement.
- Content – the full message text. Supports HTML formatting.
- Valid from / Valid to – the date and time range during which the message is shown. You can set both a date and a specific time.
- Click Save.
How messages appear to customers
Active venue messages appear as dismissible banners at the top of your facility’s booking page. Customers can close a banner after reading it, and it will stay hidden until the content is updated. If you edit the message text, customers will see it again.
Scheduling messages in advance
You can schedule several messages in advance by setting future Valid from dates. Messages are published automatically when the date arrives and removed when the Valid to date passes.
Managing existing messages
Go to Administration > Messages to see all your active messages.
- Edit – click on a message to change its headline, content, or dates.
- Reorder – drag messages to change the display order. The order determines which message appears first on the customer page.
- Delete – remove a message permanently.
The Archive tab shows messages whose Valid to date has passed.
